4:20 A.M.

Kim awoke from a dream she'd sworn was real... dazed and confused, she looked at the man lying next to her, hoping that for a moment that reality and her dreamland intertwined... that he'd look at her, waiting the response to his question.

Their last sexual experience ended only hours ago, and they'd usually lay next to each other naked, embracing each other while entering into the unconscious.  She'd grown accustomed to the way he held her after amazing sex, as if he wanted nights like this the rest of his life... as if he wanted to wake up in the same position he fell asleep in:  holding her in his arms, "making sure you don't get away" - he mentioned this their first night together... as if he wanted to wake up next to her for the rest of his life.  With the way he held her and with the way they occasionally kissed each others lips, cheeks and foreheads, she'd longed for what she thought was what he wanted.

4:20 AM was the digital display on her Blackberry phone and it was no doubt that she was jarred by the dream she had while slumbering next to the man she was quickly falling for.  It was no wonder - she dreamed of him every time she laid next to him, but this dream was different.  It was eerily real. 

The only thing she could recall from this dream was the question he asked her, referring to their status, as they lay together, her head resting on his shoulder.  His question seeked an answer that would place a label on what they had, for Kim was tired of no-label relationships.  The man lying next to her could very well be the man of her dreams, literally, and her answer rocked her awake.

She looked at his sleeping body in hopes that it would reflect the fact that he awaited an answer, but his snores signaled otherwise.  She kissed him on the lips, turned over and wished for a blunt that would conjure Sky's comforting energy, but it was 4:22 AM, and Kim's body fell heavy as he took her into his arms again, slumber shortly following.
